AHS faculty and staff present at Posse Scholars Day at UIC

Faculty and staff from the UIC health science colleges attend the Posse Scholars event on July 27, 2023.
On Thursday, July 27, 2023 the UIC College of Medicine Urban Health Program hosted a campus visit for the Posse Foundation for 40 undergraduate students and recent Posse alumni. Mario Diaz, along with representatives from the other UIC health science colleges, participated in the day’s events as part of a campus visit for Posse Scholars to explore the various health science careers. Dalmina Arias, from the Department of Occupational Therapy program, and Leonard Arguelles, from the Department of Physical Therapy, gave a brief overview on the admissions process including how to be a competitive applicant and shared their own personal experiences as graduates of the program and as faculty members.
