Be a part of the Health and Wellness Academy
Do you have an interest in working in the surrounding community? Do you have an interest in becoming a mentor for Chicago youth? Do you have a passion for leading a healthy life and want others to share that passion?
If so, come be a part of the Health and Wellness Academy (Course: PT 592). It is a 3 credit service learning course offered through the Department of Physical Therapy. This Fall semester, lectures/discussions are Tuesdays from 4 - 6 pm. Lab time at the elementary school site is Wednesday from 11:30 - 1:30 pm.
We work with kids to help them become health and wellness ambassadors and take ownership over their nutritional and physical activity choices.
