Nutrition Teaching Garden wins 2017 CEGA Award
The Nutrition Teaching Garden is the recipient of a 2017 Chicago Excellence in Gardening Awards in the "school garden" category. KN clinical instructor and garden manager Renea Solis entered the garden in the competition.
The awards "provide recognition to the hard work and creativity that make our city a healthier, more beautiful place. They support the pride we take in our neighborhoods and help us build our communities."
Solis will accept the award at an awards presentation ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 24.
