Paul Hibbing co-authors paper presenting an open-source software package for accelerometry

Along with researchers from Kansas City, Hibbing co-authored the report, titled "agcounts: An R Package to Calculate ActiGraph Activity Counts From Portable Accelerometers". The work appears in the Journal for the Measurement of Physical Behaviour. agcounts is a package for the R statistical programming language, designed to streamline calculations and processing  (especially determination of activity counts) when dealing with data from ActiGraph accelerometers. It is available on CRAN and GitHub.
