Spring course offering: Applied Health Communications and Content Marketing
Applied Health Communications and Content Marketing is a four credit, hour online course designed to provide students with a critical understanding of the role of media (print, broadcast and online) in disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness with a specific focus on the optimization of healthy lifestyle behaviors. Students will develop and hone the skills necessary for strategically using digital and social media in health communications and program development. This course focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of digital and social media-driven programs and content marketing campaigns for health promotion and wellness; examines social and behavioral theories and research on media influences with respect to its potential effects on health-related behavioral change, and provides students with an opportunity to design and market a digital media-based health communications/educational program and content marketing campaign.
