UIC Occupational Therapy receives Advancing Racial Equity Award

The UIC Department of Occupational Therapy is a recipient of an Advancing Racial Equity Award from the UIC Office of Diversity, Equity and Engagement for the project "Advancing Racial Equity through Elevating the Voices of Diverse Communities" (ARE VOICES) to create digital library of strengths-based stories related to health and disability. The team will capture Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) and disabled people’s lived experiences of resiliency, spirituality, collective emotional support, family, kinship, and other forms of healing and wellness.
