Now that you’ve been admitted, complete next steps to launch your educational journey with AHS. Make sure to check your UIC email often during this process, as additional information will be sent to you. These steps must be completed in the order listed below.

  1. Accept your admissions decision and submit your intent to enroll.
  2. Take your placements. AHS students are required to take placement tests for Englishmath and chemistry.  Students who have completed equivalent transfer courses or AP tests  may be exempt.
  3. Complete your online orientation modules through the portal.
  4. Connect with your AHS academic advisor during your advising and registration session and individual advising appointment. During this session you’ll learn more about AHS, college and campus resources, and degree requirements. You will also discuss your current and future goals and receive your course recommendations. Participation is required for all incoming freshman and transfer students.
  5. Register for courses via the XE Registration system . This will take place after advising and registration.
  6. Sign-up for an on-campus orientation program. Once you complete your advising and registration  you will be cleared to sign-up for this program. Check your UIC email for additional information.

Re-admitted students
Students who are re-admitted to AHS are not required to participate in UIC Orientation. Contact the AHS Office of Student Affairs to obtain your academic advisor assignment.
